Irvine, Calif.-based Vitamer Labs' manufacturing facility in Tempe, Ariz., was granted organic certification by Quality Assurance International on March 21.

Piscataway, N.J.-based Sabinsa Corp. announced the company's manufacturing facilities in India have passed their third consecutive audit of good manufacturing practices by NSF International. NSF reviewed the facilities' manufacturing processes, sanitation standards, pest control methods, personnel training, product testing practices and standard operating procedures.

The certification process included an inspection of all BI Nutraceuticals' manufacturing facilities by the IFANCA.

New York-based hair coloring and treatment company Surya Brasil announced that all the products in its Amazonia Preciosa line have been awarded organic certification through European certifier Ecocert.

At its Earth Day celebration, Norway, Iowa-based manufacturer and marketer Frontier Natural Products Co-op introduced a new program, Well Earth, which screens potential suppliers through an extensive questionnaire and on-site visits to thoroughly evaluate their product quality, operational sustainability, environmental practices and social responsibility.

Aalesund, Norway-based EPAX AS, supplier of marine-derived omega-3 EPA/DHA fatty acid concentrates, announced it has selected Goerlich Pharma International GmbH as the exclusive distributor for its products in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Goerlich Pharma is a German supplier of raw materials and finished products to the healthcare industry.
