AHP Releases Herbal QRS Bulletin to Address Quality, Research, and Safety Issues

The American Herbal Pharmacopoeia® (AHP), a California-based non-profit research organization, is pleased to announce the release of the Herbal QRS Bulletin which provides easy access to independently reviewed synopses of recently published information on Quality, Research, and Safety (QRS) issues pertaining to botanical ingredients and products.

With a focus on the needs of industry, healthcare practitioners, and the marketplace, the Herbal QRS Bulletin is an important resource for all sectors involved in the manufacture, sale, education, research, and regulation of herbal products. It provides critical information needed for safety and substantiation files, quality control, product development and marketing, clinical evaluations, structure and function claims, and regulatory compliance. Valuable AHP commentary on the validity and utility of the information presented is also included.

About AHP: The mission of the American Herbal Pharmacopoeia® (AHP) is to promote the responsible use of herbal medicines and insure they are used with the highest degree of safety and efficacy as is achievable. Our primary way to accomplish this is through the development of standards of identity, purity, and analysis for botanicals, as well as to critically review traditional and scientific data regarding their efficacy and safety. These works will be disseminated through a variety of AHP publications such as monographs, textbooks, and other educational materials; workshops and conferences; electronic media, and other avenues of distribution as are appropriate.
