Alpha Packaging Expands Its Family Of Wide Mouth PET Jars

St. Louis, MO – Alpha Packaging has just added three new sizes of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) wide mouth jars to its family of jars for personal care products. The one new 4-ounce and two new 8-ounce jars are ideal for a variety of personal care and nutritional products, including creams, ointments, pastes and dry products such as powders, crystals and bath salts.

Two of the new jars – the 8-ounce jar with an 89-400 neck finish, and a 4-ounce jar with a 70-400 neck – feature “low-profile” styling and heavier-wall construction than the other PET jars in the Alpha family. The third jar, an 8-ounce jar with a 70-400 neck finish, has the same traditional proportions as Alpha’s 16-ounce 89-400 jar introduced in June.

Alpha’s created the PET line in response to customers who wanted the look of glass jars, but the benefits of PET.

Alpha will stock all four sizes of the PET jars in clear. Some sizes will also be stocked in clear frost, opaque white and light amber. Cobalt blue and dark green PET jars will be available to customers with no minimum. Alpha can also provide closures for the jars; closures are sold separately.

With Alpha Packaging’s limitless color matching for PET, customers can match the color of their wide mouth jars to existing packaging lines for enhanced brand identity. Custom colors are available for relatively small minimum orders. Custom-colored jars will be delivered within four to six weeks of the order date.

Alpha is currently taking orders for all four sizes of jars, and expects to complete the line with 25-ounce and 32-ounce 89-400 jars by early 2004. For more information, please visit Alpha’s product catalog online at
