EAS, Nutracon Asia Offer Master Session on Asian Health Supplement Markets

EAS Strategic Advice and Nutracon Asia are holding a master session on the different regulatory environments for health supplement products in Asia, on the 27 August.

The regulatory workshop entitled, “Understanding the latest regulatory landscape for Successful Business in Asia” will be held in Hong Kong and aims to equip companies with the regulatory knowledge they need when launching and marketing products in Asia.

Expert speakers including Vietnam Food Administration, ASEAN Secretariat, Vietnam Association of Dietary Supplement Association, Indian Health Foods and Dietary Supplements Association will cover various national regulatory requirements and practices in key Asian markets, including Viet Nam, India and ASEAN health supplement harmonization.

The workshop is said to provide an opportunity for participants to learn and interact with the speakers about their business and the regulatory environments in the fast growing markets of Viet Nam and ASEAN countries, as well as prepare companies in advance for new opportunities and challenges in these regions.

The key topics that will be discussed:

- The close link between regulatory environment and health supplement business

- Overview of health supplement regulations in several Asian markets, with some case examples

- Influence of international regulatory development on Asia

- ASEAN harmonization of health supplement regulations

- Highlight on Viet Nam and India: Business opportunities and regulations

The workshop will be held during the same time as the Natural Products Expo Asia taking place concurrently from 26 to 28 August 2010 and will provide a good opportunity for those wishing to exchange of idea, new concepts and network.
