Sinatra to discuss matters of the heart
He may not possess the singing voice that his name might imply, but Dr. Stephen Sinatra knows a lot more about medicine than the late ?Chairman of the Board.? Sinatra will detail the latest research on nutritional supplements (Co-Q10, L-carnitine and D-ribose) for cardiovascular disease on Friday, March 18, at Nutracon, an education and networking conference for natural products manufacturers and brand marketers, taking place at the same time as Expo. Sinatra is a board-certified cardiologist, certified bioenergetic psychotherapist, and nutrition and anti-aging specialist, with more than 20 years of experience in helping patients prevent and reverse heart disease. He is the author of several books, including Heartbreak and Heart Disease, Heart Sense for Women and The Sinatra Solution-Metabolic Cardiology. At his New England Heart & Longevity Center in Manchester, Conn., Sinatra integrates conventional medical treatments for heart disease with complementary nutritional, anti-aging and psychological therapies that help heal the heart. Sinatra?s speech begins at 4 p.m. in Room 240 A/B. Expo West attendees are welcome to attend.
Neville Brothers and Michael Franti to entertain at Expo
Expo West attendees will be treated to some genuine Big Easy rhythm and blues when the legendary New Orleans-based Neville Brothers perform at the Silk/New Hope Natural Media Friday Night Concert. Known for such infectious hits as ?Iko Iko? and ?Brother John,? the group has been performing together for almost 50 years. Also on the bill Friday is Michael Franti, who will perform with his group Spearhead. Franti?s politically charged songs blend hip hop, classic soul and old-school rhythm and blues, creating a unique sound. The show takes place Friday, March 18, 9 to midnight, in the Anaheim Marriott Ballroom.
