I recently read Meg’s very insightful book, based on her experiences of feeling “hitched to someone else’s dream” during what she refers to as “the bad old days of Stonyfield”. In it, she shares the lessons she learned and profiles numerous entrepreneurial families and their struggles. Hirshberg’s writing style is relatable and deeply reflective, but also delivers very practical advice for the entrepreneur and his/her spouse. Her husband, Gary Hirshberg, a serial entrepreneur in the natural and organic industry, writes the afterword about his experience of sharing Meg with her all-encompassing book project, and he admits to finally grasping what Meg has been trying to explain to him all these years!
