Expo West Education Book Review: 'For Better or For Work: A Survival Guide for Entrepreneurs and Their Families' by Meg Hirs

To gain a greater understanding of our need for work/life balance, check out Meg Hirshberg’s new book “For Better or for Work: A Survival Guide for Entrepreneurs and Their Families”. You can pick up a copy at Expo West’s bookstore in the Anaheim Marriott, where Hirshberg will sign books on Friday, March 9th at 10:30 AM. I recently read Meg’s very insightful book, based on her experiences of feeling “hitched to someone else’s dream” during what she refers to as “the bad old days of Stonyfield”. In it, she shares the lessons she learned and profiles numerous entrepreneurial families and their struggles. Hirshberg’s writing style is relatable and deeply reflective, but also delivers very practical advice for the entrepreneur and his/her spouse. Her husband, Gary Hirshberg, a serial entrepreneur in the natural and organic industry, writes the afterword about his experience of sharing Meg with her all-encompassing book project, and he admits to finally grasping what Meg has been trying to explain to him all these years!

Hear Meg Hirshberg’s story at Natural Products Expo West on Friday, March 9th at 9:00 AM in the Anaheim Marriott Platinum Ballroom 6.
