Find export assistance at Natural Products Expo West

Through the U.S. Commerce Department’s International Buyer Program (IBP), a number of services are offered to help international attendees and U.S. exhibitors at Natural Products Expo West and Engredea make the most of their show experience. U.S. Commercial Service and U.S. State Department staffs from U.S. embassies and consulates worldwide work to recruit and bring to the show overseas buyer delegations, and help organize their plans for doing business at the show. Altogether, the IBP has recruited buyers from 16 countries, and will escort official IBP delegations from Brazil, Pakistan, China, Colombia, Hungary, Mexico, Chile, Singapore, Philippines, and Thailand.

Trade specialists from the U.S. Department of Commerce will manage the Global Resource Center (GRC) located in room 204C of the Anaheim Convention Center. The GRC is a base of operations where international buyers visiting NPEW can obtain assistance in identifying U.S. exhibitors offering products, and be introduced to U.S. exhibitors on the show floor. International buyers typically use the GRC as a launching pad for “walking the exhibit floor.”

U.S. Commerce Department assistance features three elements:

The ShowTime program offers a unique opportunity to meet one-on-one with our U.S. Commercial Service industry specialists. Export seminar series. The U.S. Commercial Service has partnered with NPEW 2016 show organizer, New Hope Natural Media, to develop an export seminar series for NPEW 2016. The series, held on Thursday March 10 from 1:00 pm to 5:45 pm in the Global Resource Center, in the Anaheim Convention Center in Room 204C, features two presentations on the export topics: E-commerce guidance and best practices and Best practices for export shipping, and documentation and compliance. Two other presentations will highlight market opportunities and access for U.S. natural products companies in Canada, our largest export market, and in Brazil, Latin’s America’s largest market. The Global Export seminar series can benefit new to exporting companies, or more experienced exporters looking to expand their knowledge base and new export business development opportunities. Seminars are free to attend for all registered attendees and exhibitors at NPEW 2016 (no registration needed).
