The Economist is educating college students about global affairs with branded pizza boxes featuring statistics on global, arable cropland; cheese imports; and wheat consumption displayed in, well, pie charts. Anew study by Experian's Future Foundation in London done for PurAsia found that 23 percent of 18- to 34-year-old men say they cook to impress or potentially seduce a partner, versus 11 percent of women in the same age range. Dubbed gastrosexuals, these guys are impressed with sexier, high-end-brand kitchen accoutrements such as Porsche Design in Germany and Bosch and Viking in the U.S., which apparently say "macho" more than Cuisinart."The ability to cook will only make a man look more sophisticated, more modern and more aware of what's going on today," said Dan Davies, deputy editor of Esquire magazine, in the report.
