Canton, MA, April 26, 2007 -- Shuster Laboratories has announced that Kathleen M. Jordan, M.S., R.D., has joined the company as Associate Director of Business Development, where she will utilize her extensive experience in the dietary supplements market to continue to build Shuster’s preeminent reputation in the industry. She will also assist in overseeing Shuster’s business development team to help them achieve revenue and project goals within the food, supplement, and personal care product segments.
Prior to joining Shuster, Ms. Jordan was the Director of Business Development for Dietary Supplements and Sports Nutrition at NSF International, a leader in standards development and product certification. While at NSF, Ms. Jordan guided the organization’s teams in the development and launch of dietary supplements, food certification, and fitness programs for over 700 certified products in North America, Asia, and Europe. She also oversaw the daily operations of dietary supplements, functional foods certification programs, good manufacturing practices registration, and athletic banned substances programs.
Ms. Jordan chaired the American National Standard Joint Committee and facilitated the development of the science-based consensus standard for dietary supplements. She also served on the Council for Responsible Nutrition’s Regulatory Affairs, GMP and Sports Nutrition Committees and the International Alliance of Dietary Supplements Associations’ Company Council and the Federal Trade Commission’s Weight Loss Claims Committee.
Ms. Jordan received her M.S. in food science and nutrition from Eastern Michigan University and her B.S. in human nutrition/foods in business from the University of Massachusetts. Ms. Jordan is registered by the American Dietetic Association as a dietitian and by the Cornell University Food Marketing Institute in food safety and sanitation.
