SCHAUMBURG, IL November 26, 2007 – SPINS, Inc., the leading provider of industry information, reporting and consulting services for the Natural and Organic Products Industry, today announced the appointment of Kathryn Peters to its leadership team as Senior Vice President of Retail Client Services.
In this newly created role, Peters will oversee all aspects of SPINS’ Retailer, Broker and Distributor partnerships. Across all retail channels, she will lead the company’s ongoing focus and investment in the development of SPINS’ retailer partnerships.
Peters has more than 15 years of experience in the food retail and consumer packaged goods industries. Most recently, she served as the Vice President of Grocery and Corporate Brands at BI-LO, LLC, a leading regional supermarket operator in the Southeast. During her 10-year tenure with BI-LO, Peters held numerous other positions, including Director of Grocery, Director of Category Management, and Category Development Manager. Prior to joining BI-LO, Peters worked for the category management and sales organization of Ralston Purina. Peters received a Bachelors of Science Degree, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a Masters Degree, in Business Administration, from Wake Forest University’s Babcock Graduate School of Management.
