Kemin Food Technologies Announces New Hires

Kemin Food Technologies welcomes three new employees to its headquarters in Des Moines, Iowa.

“The addition of these three individuals to the Kemin team is truly exciting,” said Melanie Galloway, president of Kemin Food Technologies. “Each brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in their respective fields. I look forward to seeing the great things they will do at Kemin.”

Betsy Blades joins as the marketing manager in North America. Prior to joining Kemin, Blades spent seven years with Pfizer where she worked in pharmaceutical sales and also served on the strike force sales division that was responsible for rapidly deploying new and existing products. Before she joined Pfizer, Blades served as the marketing manager for Farmland Industries. She holds a Bachelor of Science in agriculture from the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri.

Will Schroeder joins as the research and development director. In addition to his new position at Kemin, Schroeder is also the president and CEO of Blue Sky Creamery, an Iowa-based ice cream start-up business Schroeder co-founded in 1999 as a student attending IowaStateUniversity. Schroeder received his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from AugsburgCollege in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He also holds a doctorate in chemical engineering from IowaStateUniversity in Ames, Iowa.

Brody Wells joins as the finance director. Prior to joining Kemin, Wells served as an audit manager for Ernst & Young where he performed audits, reviews and transaction work on a variety of corporations in the manufacturing, consumer products, retail, biotechnology, technology, distribution, service and insurance industries. He received his bachelor’s degree in business and accounting and master’s in accounting from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa.
