The momentum of the ALS Ice Bucket challenge continues as individuals and companies upload videos of themselves pouring a bucket of ice water over their heads. The challenge has raised awareness of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) disease, and over $53.3 million in donations and 1.1 million new donors. Social media has proved itself to be both a powerful and successful platform for philanthropic support.
The natural foods industry has not been exempt from participating in and supporting the cause. Videos have been popping up all over Facebook and Twitter as the industry supports the ALS Association in full force.
