Kettle chip brand Boulder Canyon has three new flavors: Coconut Oil Pineapple Habanero, Olive Oil Sweet Vinegar and Olive Oil Red Chili. 

Hydrosol has developed a new system solution, HydroTOP VEG, that lets manufacturers offer a wide range of meatless products, including vegetarian sausages like wieners, bockwurst, hot dogs and liver loaf, as well as vegetarian ground “meat” that can be used in various applications.

PuraVita, a new Cradle to Cradle Certified fragrance from International Flavors and Fragrances, was debuted at the Sustainable Cosmetics Summit in New York City. The Cradle to Cradle Certified product standard guides designers and manufacturers through a continual improvement process that looks at a product through five categories—material health, material reutilization, renewable energy and carbon management, water stewardship, and social fairness. The fragrance has has notes of green apple, wood, apricot and vanilla.

The Lovely Candy Company, maker and marketer of consciously crafted confections, announced its entry into the chocolate category by acquiring the exclusive rights to the innovative, honey-based chocolates manufactured by Honey Acres of Asshipun, Wisconsin. The companies will launch a line of two- or three-ingredient dark chocolate honey truffles in cocoa, mint and raspberry flavors.

Using newly acquired technology called Flexitech, krill company Aker BioMarine has launched its first krill oil concentrate. Called Superba Boost Caps, the product contains significantly more phospholipids and omega-3s compared to the previous generation of Superba Krill Oil.

Sabinsa Corp. has hit another important milestone for the shelf-stable probiotic LactoSpore with receipt of a “no questions” letter on Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS) status from the U.S. FDA.

New from Little Remedies is Probiotic Plus Electrolytes, which combines a probiotic and electrolytes in one convenient packet designed specifically for babies. The natural berry flavor powder dissolves easily in fluids and provides the dual benefit of maintaining flora (good bacteria) in the digestive system and supporting hydration.

Santa Cruz Organics announced the launch of its new line of lightly sweetened Agua Fresca beverages made with a handful ingredients including organic fruit juice and a splash of lemon juice.

A new food company called Silver Fern Brand is bringing a new line of Paka baking mixes to the market formulated with a proprietary low-glycemic blend of sweet prebiotic fiber, tagatose and other natural ingredients.

OmniActive Health Technologies was granted a European patent for Lutemax 2020. The patent covers the composition and process of preparation for Lutemax 2020, “a xanthophyll composition containing macular pigments consisting of trans-lutein, zeaxanthin isomers—namely (R,R-zeaxanthin) and (R,S-zeaxanthin)—derived from the plant extract/oleoresin containing xanthophylls/xanthophyll esters which is safe for human consumption and useful for nutrition and health care...”
