Terese MansellNational Enzyme Co. of Forsyth, Mo., announced that Terese Mansell will serve as the company's new president. Mansell has been with National Enzyme Co. for six years, and she led the company to record sales as director of sales and marketing.

Levlad LLC of Los Angeles appointed Laura Setzfand as director of marketing. Setzfand has more than 12 years of experience in marketing and sales for personal care brands including Jason Natural Products, Zia Natural Skincare and Queen Helene.

Mannatech Inc. of Coppell, Texas, announced that Samuel Caster resigned as chief executive officer of the company and is now serving as nonexecutive chairman of the board. The company's board of directors appointed President and Chief Operating Officer Terry Persinger as interim president and CEO while conducting a formal search for a permanent replacement.

Planet Organic Health Corp., based in Edmonton, Alberta, appointed Brent Knudsen to the board of directors. Knudsen is the managing partner of Partnership Capital Growth Advisors.

Lacey, Wash.-based ECONET Inc., the parent company for Unigen USA, Aloecorp International and Univera Life Sciences Inc., announced the appointment of Stuart Ochiltree as chief executive officer and board of directors vice chairman. Derek Hall, former CEO and vice chair since 2004, retired from his position but continues with the company as board director.

Ghent, N.Y.-based Bioforce USA appointed Jodie Moore to marketing coordinator. Moore worked with Bioforce USA while attending college, and was previously executive manager of Hillsdale House Inc. at Golf & Country Club. Angela Rolon was named sales coordinator. Most recently, Rolon was a legal secretary for the law firm of Juliette Crill of Hillsdale, N.Y. Bioforce USA also hired sales veteran Abby Smith as in-house sales representative. Smith was most recently a regional sales representative for Taconic Inc.

Brian LinkBoulder, Colo.-based mix1 hired Brian Link as regional sales manager. Link has led sales at Denver?s New Age Beverage for the past 10 years.

Attune Foods, based in San Francisco, hired Eric Lauterbach as vice president of sales. Lauterbach has more than 18 years of experience in business planning, marketing and sales management, including 13 years in the packaged-goods industry. Prior to joining Attune, Lauterbach was director of sales planning with The Clorox Co., most recently leading the development of customer strategy for the company's health and wellness platform.

Boulder, Colo.-based manufacturer Nuevo Latino Natural Foods hired Charlie Linder as senior vice president of sales. Linder has more than 35 years of executive-level experience in the consumer-products industry, most recently as vice president of sales at Applegate Farms. He was also vice president of sales at Natural Pet Nutrition and Annie's Homegrown Foods.

Reed's Inc., Los Angeles-based manufacturer of Reed's Ginger Brews and other products, hired Thierry Foucaut as chief operating officer. Foucaut brings to the company more than 18 years of experience in sales, marketing and operations. Prior to Reeds Inc., Foucaut filled a variety of roles for Village Imports, a wholesale distributor of specialty foods, wines and beverages, including chief operating officer and general manager of both the Los Angeles and San Francisco branches, as well as director of new business development.

Christopher HooverBenicia, Calif.-based InterHealth Nutraceuticals Inc. appointed Christopher Hoover as western region sales manager for the United States and Canada. Hoover has more than 12 years of experience in nutraceuticals, most recently as general manager of Ashley Martin Manufacturing.

Seaside Naturals, based in Branford, Conn., hired Ilona McGowan as general manager. Previously, McGowan has worked at Unilever and Chesbrough-Ponds home and personal care divisions in the customer service, accounting and logistics departments.

Richard Lewis is the new director of vendor and retail relations for Natural Synergies, a Boca Raton, Fla.-based network of independently owned and operated natural, organic and health food retailers. Lewis has more than 20 years of experience in the natural foods industry.

Naples, Fla.-based Naturipe Farms hired Bruce Peterson as president and chief executive officer. Peterson has been in the produce industry for 37 years, most recently as president of Peterson Insights Inc. Prior to that, he spent 15 years at Wal-Mart Stores Inc., launching and building the perishable-foods division and retiring from the company as senior vice president of perishables.

Eden Foods, based in Clinton, Mich., hired Janet Tovey as national sales manager of Canada. Tovey has 19 years of sales and merchandising management experience, most recently as sales manager for the Ontario Natural Foods Co-op, a 31-year-old natural foods distributor based in Mississauga, Ontario.
