Kathleen A. Merrigan has joined the Organic Center for Education and Promotion?s board of directors. Merrigan is the director of the Agriculture, Food and Environment Program at the Gerald J. and Dorothy R. Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University. As senior science and technology adviser to the U.S. Senate Agriculture Committee from 1987 to 1992, she worked on the Organic Foods Production Act of 1990.
Cleveland-based Penton Media has named deliciouslivingmag.com its new chief executive officer, replacing outgoing CEO Tom Kemp. Nussbaum was previously executive vice president of Penton and oversaw several media divisions. Penton is the parent company of New Hope Natural Media, The Natural Foods Merchandiser?s publisher.
