Acupuncturist promoted to marketing director
Rory LipskyJarrow Formulas of Los Angeles has named Rory Lipsky its marketing director. Lipsky is an acupuncturist and the author of the book One Trip Around the Sun. He is an expert in the field of natural medicine, herbs and supplements. Previously, Lipsky was the marketing manager for Jarrow Formulas. Lipsky obtained an MBA from University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business and an undergraduate degree in marketing from Cal State University at Northridge. Additionally, he has a master’s degree in traditional Chinese medicine from Yo San University.

Comax bolsters sales team with two hires
Comax Flavors has added two members to its sales team: Gary Long as Southeastern regional sales manager and Alexis Dobrasz as Midwest account representative. Previously, Long held the position of national accounts executive at Edlong Dairy Flavors for 26 years. He is a graduate of the University of Kentucky. Prior to joining Comax, Dobrasz spent five years in research and development at Sensient Flavors in the position of food technologist, dairy solutions. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University.

BI Nutraceuticals adds buyer, procurement chief
BI Nutraceuticals has hired Theresa Reid Aranda as its director of procurement and Lindsay Monsivaiz as buyer. Aranda previously spent 13 years at BI Nutraceuticals in customer service, sales and operations capacities, including vice president of operations. Prior to her years at BI, Aranda fulfilled management functions for Nature's Sunshine Products. Most recently, she was part of the sales team at Martin Bauer North America. Monsivaiz was most recently regional sales manager for High Quality Organics. Prior to that, she spent nearly 10 years with Amzac Enterprises, a Southern California transportation, warehousing and distribution company.

Chris PeruzziReserveage appoints national sales manager
Reserveage Organics has announced the hiring of Chris Peruzzi as national sales manager to the sales team. He has 15 years of experience in the natural products industry as a sales representative, an independent broker and a vice president of sales. Hormel Foods unveils executive promotions
PPeter Hoepereter Hoeper is the new national sales manager for Hormel Foods Specialty Products Division. Previously, he was manager of the Hormel Foods Contract Packaging group. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota and will be based in Minnesota. The company has also appointed Dan Evancho as its new Eastern regional manager. Previously, Evancho worked as a sales representative for the company, beginning in 2004. He is a graduate of Lycoming College in Pennsylvania and will be based in New Jersey.
