QAI Appoints New General Manager

San Diego, CA – Quality Assurance International (QAI), the global leader in organic certification services, today announced the promotion of

Jaclyn Bowen to General Manager.

In her new position, Bowen is responsible for the operation and expansion of QAI’s certification programs. This includes implementing new business initiatives, while ensuring compliance with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) National Organic Program (NOP) regulations.

Bowen has worked at NSF International for over five years, previously serving as a project manager for NSF standards department. In this role, she worked with international public health officials and professionals, overseeing the development and review of American National Standards and ensuring that NSF’s Joint Committees operate in accordance with NSF and American National Standards Institute’s (ANSI) policies. Bowen also has experience working in NSF’s chemistry laboratories testing and analyzing drinking water samples for metal contamination.

Prior to joining NSF, Bowen served as a Quality Control Technician at Chem-Trend International, a formulator and manufacturer of chemical release agents and as a Naturalist for the Harris Nature Center in Okemos, MI. Bowen has a master’s degree in public health management and policy from the University of Michigan and a bachelor’s of science degree in environmental biology from Michigan State University. She is currently pursuing a master’s of science degree in quality engineering.
