Roger Harley joins Rowe Farms as Director of Farmer Relations

Jamie Cooney, CEO of Rowe Farms, is very pleased to announce that Roger Harley is now leading the company’s farm protocol and farmer relations division. Roger has an extensive background developing hormone free and antibiotic free farming principles that also combine animal welfare standards. After dedicating years toward the establishment of these principles in the United Kingdom, Roger has applied these philosophies on his own and other farms in and around Peterborough County, Ontario for the past seven years.

Roger’s role at Rowe Farms will focus on enhancing farmer relations, farm protocols development and establishing a farmer co-operative. Roger has been working with the Animal Welfare Institute, Canadian Farm Animal Care Trust and Whole Foods for several years in order to develop the highest standards for animal welfare and environmentally responsible agriculture.

Since 1972, Rowe Farms has been a leader in providing meat products raised without the use of antibiotics, growth promoting hormones, or animal based feeds. The company has grown to become a major supplier of antibiotic free chicken, pork, beef, lamb, turkey and eggs sourced from local Ontario farms, and is now looking to widen its market and develop new welfare protocols to satisfy growing consumer demand.

Rowe Farm Meats are available at Fortinos, Organic Garage, Whole Foods and other leading natural food retailers in Ontario.
