Fast-growing frozen food brand Blake's All Natural announced the addition of two new gluten-free comfort meals: Turkey & Uncured Bacon Cottage Pie and Turkey Shepard's Pie.

Soylent has a new president—Bryan Crowley, former chief strategy officer at KeVita who helped lead the company to a successful sale to PepsiCo in December of last year. At Soylent, Crowley will be responsible for day-to-day operations, financial performance and the development and deployment of Soylent's business and people strategy.

Family-owned vegan food company GoMacro announced a new hire and several new brand initiatives at its family-owned farm in Viola, Wisconsin. Landscape designer Ronda Dallmann will oversee daily management of the farm and garden, including new upcycling and sustainability initiatives, a farm-share program for GoMacro employees and offer public farm tours.

New from Bliss Beauty are USDA Organic essential oils in three varieties: tea tree, eucalyptus and peppermint. All the products are created in a fully sustainable manner, are never tested on animals, and every bottle is completely recyclable.

NOW has joined up with celebrity fitness trainer Gunnar Peterson and nutritionist/author Dawn Jackson Blatner for the #LiveHealthyNOW campaign, which encourages people to live their healthiest lifestyle now and recharge their summer fitness routines with access to exclusive total-body workouts, daily wellness tips and healthy recipes. Now is also donating $5,000 to Project Fit America to help support fitness programs for children across the country.

Atlantic Natural Foods, producer of shelf-stable plant-based protein and owner of the iconic Loma Linda brand, along with Pataya Food Group, a producer and innovator of protein-based products under the Nautilus and other private label brands around the world, are announcing a strategic partnership to create a complete range of shelf-stable pouch meals made from plant-based proteins. The exclusive agreement will initially impact ANF’s recently announced Loma Linda "Blue" meal solutions which will hit the North American market by summer 2017, consisting of 16 meal solutions that are packed in shelf-stable, easy to grab-on-the-go, individual microwavable pouches that can be prepared in one minute to support the growth of a healthy vegetarian lifestyle. The initial offerings will include varieties such as Spicy Pad Thai, Thai Sweet Chili, seasoned Fishless Tuna, Italian Bolognese, Southwest Chunky Stew, and more. 

After 25 years of private brand and international food sales and marketing business development, Mike Hackbarth, former VP of private brand at The Fremont Company, is starting a management consulting company called International Expertise Inc., that will help executives understand the domestic and/or private brand industry. The company will also partner with clients to improve or develop strategic business plans and new business.
