This week: New packaging for Soapbox Soaps | Source Naturals launches supplement inspired by gamers

Alpine Start Foods, a premium brand of instant coffee for everyday adventures, announced a venture investment from Slow Ventures. Founded in 2016 by professional climber Matt Segal and natural food guru Alex Hanifin, Alpine Start has become an instant favorite in key grocery and sporting goods retailers. Its original blend comes in a single-serve sachet, offering high-quality, high-altitude Arabica beans sourced straight from Colombia, that dissolve in hot or cold liquids. The company will allocate the funds to product innovation, including building out its suite of products for delicious, convenient, grab-and-go options, marketing programs, highlighting the new take on instant coffee, and building the team to support growth in new retailers. 

Screen Time Stamina is a new science-backed supplement inspired by gamers. Source Naturals designed the supplement to provide healthy energy, enhanced mental focus and vision support for stamina during long periods in front of a computer screen. It includes vitamin A, vitamin D-3, rhodiola, ashwagandha, green tea leaf extract and more. 

Frutarom said it will acquire full ownership of Enzymotec, Israel, at a net investment of approx $210 million USD. The transaction will be done via full merger of Enzymotec into a subsidiary of Frutarom.

The social mission-based personal care brand Soapbox has unveiled new packaging for its line of body washes, bar soaps, liquid hand soaps and hair care. Soapbox says its new look aims to elevate the hand-selected ingredients while bringing a luxurious look at the products' affordable price point (all under $10). The new packaging features the surprise consumer find of the unique social mission for the buy-one-give-one business model, helping those in need around the globe and here in the US. 

Zing Bars has scored a new brand ambassador and investor in New York Knicks star Kristaps Porzingis. Zing Bars were developed by professional dietitians with formulations with a nut or seed butter base, fruits, whole grains and real dark chocolate, consumers of all ages who are looking for long-lasting energy and vitality, or ‘zing,’ throughout the day.

Recovery and hydration sports drink maker Kill Cliff is adding an endurance beverage to its lineup of products. Endure, endurance sports drink, provides essential electrolytes and slow-release carbohydrates to support hydration and sustained endurance during exercise. Naturex has appointed Sarah Martin as its new chief scientific officer. Throughout her career, Martin has held various leadership roles in The Dow Chemical Company, Solae and DuPont groups. Her lengthy industry experience has enabled her to develop expertise and leadership in areas such as processing technology, R&D, intellectual property and project management. 

Just in time for the holidays comes La Colombe's Peppermint Mocha DraftLatte, made with cold-pressed espresso and fresh milk, combined with dark chocolate and peppermint extract. Earlier this year, La Colombe announced its growth into 25,000 points of distribution, according to a press release from the brand.

Caroline Kibler has been appointed senior vice president of marketing at sparkling water company Spindrift. Kibler comes to Spindrift with more than 15 years of food and beverage brand marketing experience, specializing in the premium water category, having led the smartwater business at The Coca-Cola Company.
