Denroku Launches “Ukon no Kakipi”, Containing Curcumin and Niacin

On 1 November 2008, Denroku Co., Ltd. will launch “Ukon no Kakipi (Tumeric Kaki-peanuts)”, a variation on the staple Japanese snack food of Kakipi. The product contains a high concentration of curcumin, which has a strengthening effect on liver function, as well as high oleic peanuts. The peanuts contain oleic acid, which has extremely high oxidation effects, and niacin, an ingredient that breaks down alcohol, making this the perfect accompaniment to alcoholic drinks like beer and chuhai. Priced at JPY 126/65 g.
