Ixoreal Biomed, was awarded the Frost & Sullivan 2014 Product Innovation in Botanicals Award for its clinically proven KSM-66 Ashwagandha, the highest concentration root extract of ashwagandha available globally.
The Frost & Sullivan Product Innovation Award is conferred on only one manufacturer in a sector each year, based on a careful and structured research process that evaluates several companies in terms of innovation and excellence.
Mr. Jayant Singh, associate director of pharma and medical technology, healthcare practice, Frost & Sullivan, said, "Ixoreal, the maker of KSM-66 Ashwagandha was the most impressive company we evaluated in this sector. It is rare to see a botanical company with such a singular focus on being the world’s best and investing heavily across science, manufacturing, and clinical trials.” Singh added, “Their innovation is in their unique extraction process, developed over 15 years, that yields the highest-concentration, full-spectrum ashwagandha extract available in the market. They have seven clinical trials with large sample sizes and publications listed in the U.S. Government’s PubMed medical publications index. Ixoreal is the only significant ashwagandha maker that is vertically integrated, with its own organic farms, pharmaceutical-grade manufacturing, R&D and distribution.”
KSM-66, an advanced form of ashwagandha, has the most extensive set of clinical trials of any Ashwagandha extract. In total, there are seven human clinical studies featuring KSM-66 Ashwagandha and two animal studies. From these studies, KSM-66 has been clinically documented to reduce stress and anxiety, enhance memory and cognition, increase endurance and strength, and aid healthy sexual function both in men and women.
Kartikeya Baldwa, director of Ixoreal Biomed, said, “KSM-66 is the sole product for and from Ixoreal. Hence, with a sharp focus on Ashwagandha, we are able to devote significant resources and achieve high levels of excellence.” KSM-66 has won other awards as well like the 2013 Best Botanical Ingredient Award by the editors of Functional Ingredients magazine and 2012 Innovative Ingredient of the Year Award at Panacea, South Asia's largest trade show and conference on natural products. Baldwa adds, “We are humbled and honored to have our hard work recognized by these awards. What makes us particularly happy is the rapidly growing number of formulators who are adopting KSM-66 for use in supplements, foods and beverages and recognizing the high-quality and excellence we stand for.”
KSM-66 is 100 percent organic in accordance with the National Organic Program, the technical standards set by the United States Department of Agriculture. It is also GRAS affirmed, Kosher and Halal certified.
