Nutegrity debuts ThriVexan mangosteen ingredient

Naturally harvested from the mangosteen fruit, ThriVexan supports a healthy inflammatory response and may temporarily relieve minor muscle pain associated with strenuous activity.

Nutegrity™ has added ThriVexan® Mangosteen Extract to its expanding portfolio of branded ingredients. Naturally harvested from the mangosteen fruit, ThriVexan helps support a healthy inflammatory response and may provide temporary relief of minor muscle pain associated with strenuous activity.

ThriVexan is harvested from the whole fruit including pericarp, fruit and seeds and is standardized to 10 percent mangosteen. While most mangosteen products are standardized only for alpha mangosteen, ThriVexan is standardized for both alpha and gamma mangosteen content to provide maximum benefits.

“Nutegrity strives to bring unique, science backed ingredients to our customers and ThriVexan represents our latest superfruit offering for dietary supplement and select food and beverage applications,” said Matt Phillips, chief commercial officer of Nutegrity. “Mangosteen is one of the world’s most powerful superfruits and ThriVexan fully utilizes the natural xanthone compounds to help deliver a variety of health benefits.”

Known as the “queen of tropical fruits,” mangosteen contains an impressive array of vitamins and minerals, including a group of compounds in the rind called xanthones. Xanthones have powerful antioxidant properties, and studies and ongoing research indicate that xanthones may provide a number of health benefits including supporting the immune system, supporting intestinal flora, and helping maintain cell integrity.
