On June 17, a US Senate Consumer Protection panel put the screws to the Great and Powerful Oz. The senators chastised Dr. Mehmet Oz for promoting weight-loss ingredients like green coffee bean extract, forskolin and raspberry ketones as “lightning in a bottle” and “the magic weight-loss cure for every body type” on his popular syndicated TV show.
