Co-Q10 Has the Right Stuff

White Plains, N.Y.—Twenty eight out of 29 brands of Co-Q10 met their content label claims, according to a recent analysis. The one that did not had only 17 percent of the amount listed on the label.

"While most products had what they said, it is a shame that some people turning to Co-Q10 to improve their quality of life may be using a product with less than one-fifth of the expected dose," says Tod Cooperman, M.D., president of consumerlab.com, the company, based here, that did analysis.

The products—some of which contained other ingredients—were purchased from retailers, online retailers, catalogs or multi-level marketing companies. The analyses were performed using an HPLC method.
