Concord, Mass.—Experts are pondering the long-term implications of another high-profile Web site gone bust when MotherNature.com decided to cut its losses and call it quits last October. The health-oriented Web site sold vitamins, supplements and other natural products in addition to providing diverse online health information. At press time, the liquidation plan was hoping to bring in an estimated $15.8 million. In the meantime, the site has temporarily remained open in order to run a clearance sale.
