Schisandra: Structure/Function Claim

According to a review of the available data, schisandra and schisandra preparations equivalent in dosage and composition to those found to be effective possess hepatoprotectant and adaptogenic activity.^1-4 They also enhance the hepatic glutathione antioxidant system,⁵ decrease fatigue, increase work capacity and accelerate recovery time after exercise in athletes.⁴
