AHP Monographs Well Respected

The American Herbal Pharmacopoeia (AHP), a nonprofit educational foundation in Santa Cruz, Calif., provides information for the safe and effective use of botanical medicines by developing comprehensive analytical and therapeutic monographs and by establishing industrywide manufacturers' quality-control standards. AHP monographs are peer-reviewed by an international panel of experts versed in scientific and traditional data on herbs, including complete safety profiles and dosage information. AHP plans to publish 300 monographs, averaging 20 to 30 pages each, on the most widely used Ayurvedic, Chinese and Western botanicals in the U.S. market.
