Audits Support BSE Protection

The industry-supported BSE Task Force has enlisted an outside consultant to importers of glandular ingredients and chondroitin to ensure bovine-derived materials are sourced in compliance with USDA and FDA standards. The task force, organized by five trade organizations to address BSE concerns, has engaged the services of the AAC Consulting Group, Inc., of Rockville, Md., to verify source documentation for product ingredients and ensure that they do not originate in BSE-infected countries.
