Remember shopping for your last car, and when you finally decided on a make and model it seemed as if that car was suddenly everywhere? Such serendipity occurs this month in NSN. In response to these and similar findings, the dietary supplements industry has sought ingredients to help overweight consumers. Our "Evidence-based Products" department features three companies with published research to back their weight-loss products. Key ingredients are conjugated linoleic acid, chromium picolinate, and colostrum. Another promising product is chitosanread more about its hurdles in "Beyond the Label."
So when you want to know what to watch (besides your weight), look to NSN for information on companies producing ethical, scientifically validated products.
