Meet Functional Foods & Nutraceuticals
Welcome to a new era for Nutrition Science News. This is the last monthly issue of NSN we will be publishing. And that's a good thing, because we're going global.

Beginning with the January 2002 issue next month, New Hope Natural Media will combine Nutrition Science News and Functional Foods & Nutraceuticals magazines to launch the first and only completely global raw ingredients supply publication. Adopting the Functional Foods & Nutraceuticals name, the relaunched FFN will deliver scientific, peer-reviewed editorial from which new product technologists will gain formulation ideas. Senior management, marketers, and other key players in the food, pharma, and supplements arenas will gain insights into markets around the globe.

Nutrition Science News has been proud to provide ultracurrent, referenced nutrition information. We will continue to publish NSN, four times a year beginning in March 2002, and distribute it exclusively to pharmacists.

The Europe-based Functional Foods & Nutraceuticals is known abroad as the supply industry's authoritative "business bible," combining industry in-depth news and analysis, marketing and business trends as well as ingredient and company information. Its distribution is throughout Europe, South America, Asia/Australasia, the Middle East, and Africa.

The relaunched FFN will cover the globe with the quality balance of both publications. Circulation is truly global—10,000 readers total—of which half are in North America.

We are excited to offer a publication that links the global supply chain. Come the January issue, let us know what you think of the publication and how we can continue to help grow your business.

Got Anthocyanins?

These colorful plant flavonoids found in flower petals and berries are powerful antioxidants that help reduce inflammation, protect blood vessels and improve eyesight. They also can be effective in treating ulcers, diabetes, and cancer. As if that were not enough, they also have applications as beverage and coloring agents.
