NCAA Bans Creatine Distribution
Indianapolis, Ind.Soon there may be a greater number of young athletes perusing the supplement aisles, thanks to a recent ruling by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), located here. The college sports governing body ruled that beginning in August 2000, creatine and other performance-enhancing supplements can no longer be distributed by its member institutions. However, the ruling does not prohibit college athletes from using these popular strength- and exercise-enhancing products; thus, young competitors will surely be procuring their own supplement caches.
