GMOs: No Testing, No Labels
WashingtonThe U.S. Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) proposed rules for genetically modified foods have come under fire from consumer, environmental, and food-safety groups. FDA's proposal would not require premarket safety testing or product labels for genetically engineered foods, and would only require food developers to notify FDA at least four months in advance of new biotech foods entering the marketplace.
