Just a few years ago, the very idea of Costco becoming the nation’s top-selling organic food retailer seemed absurd. Now, we are living in that reality. Although food and beverages make up the vast majority of organic and GMO-free sales, supplements bearing these seals are gathering serious steam. 

In 2015, sales of organic and non-gmo supplements grew 17.5 percent and 13.1 percent, respectively. Given that there are far fewer organic and non-GMO supplements than foods to choose from, this rapid growth clearly illustrates consumers’ desire for clean-label nutritional products.
