Natural Products Association MarketPlace trade show connects buyers with new brands in healthy lifestyle channel

NPA MarketPlace is the longest running natural and healthy lifestyle products trade show, and an integral event for independent retailers to source new products, develop industry relationships, and build better business acumen. The show was held at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV, June 14- 16, 2012.

An impressive contingent of retailers took to the show floor to engage, write orders and attended the full docket of education, including: Whole Foods Market, Mama Jean's Natural Foods, Green Pet Meds, Vitamin Shoppe, the Hershey Company, Nutrition Shoppe, Vitamin Depot, Nature's Health, Piazza’s Fine Foods, New Seasons Market, and Florida Health Foods.

New this year was the New Products Showcase LIVE!, where retailers had the opportunity to hear product pitches and emerging science, including the latest in personal care products and ingredients, nutritional benefits of raw food, the hottest supplements and new marketing angles to drive in-store retail sales. 

“We knew we had a product that would do well in this market place, but we didn’t have the forum to spread the word. Natural Products Association MarketPlace delivered the audience we were seeking,” said David Simnick, CEO of SoapBox Soaps.

Recent developments in the FDA’s New Dietary Ingredients (NDI) Guidance were discussed to better understand the scope, current thinking, latest actions and possible impact on retailers; including its effect on innovation, supplements pricing and enforcement, as well as supplement GMPs, other issues affecting market credibility, product quality and future growth.

Stand out brands and new product launches were recognized at the Best of Show awards ceremony.  The Diamond Manufacturer Award was presented to Vitamer Laboratories for their longtime commitment to the association and the industry as a whole.  The Retailers’ Choice Award went to Premium Gold Flax Products, Best Booth Design went to Brad’s Raw Foods, and the Impress the Press Award was presented to Baby Mantra.

Natural Products Association MarketPlace 2013 will be held at the Sands Expo and Convention Center and the Venetian Resort Hotel next June 27-29, 2013.
