“Corporations have not just an opportunity but a responsibility to do something for the social good,” says Amy Barnouw, co-founder and CEO of Planet Fuel.

The organic juice company focuses on feeding healthy bodies and a healthy planet with its teen- and tween-targeted brand and charitable arm that taps a teen advisory board to guide programs and grants. The Planet Fuel Charitable Fund is backed by private donors and 5 percent of sales.

“You look around and mission-driven businesses are everywhere,” Barnouw said. “And frankly, the millennials and the teens and tweens are really expecting it at this point.”

Barnouw explains her passion for giving and the program in the video above.
