Bioenergy Life Science names regional sales director

Marianne K. McDonagh will be responsible for expanding the use of ribose in the western half of the country.

Bioenergy Life Science Inc. has announced that Marianne K. McDonagh has joined the Minneapolis-based company as regional sales director. McDonagh’s major responsibilities will be to expand the use of ribose in the western half of the country, and to work with Bioenergy Life Science customers to improve sales and marketing cooperation.

McDonagh brings a solid history of sales successes, having previously served as director of business development for APP Global, Inc. where she identified and developed new business opportunities and sales within the pet, cosmetic, and food and beverage industries; and prior to that as director of new business development and operations for ProTab Laboratories, where she helped increase that company’s U.S. sales from minimal to $2 million in the first year. McDonagh, who earned a degree from California State University, Fullerton, began her professional career as a business manager for Blue California.

“Marianne is well respected for her knowledge and innovative track records. Her ability to develop strong relationships with customer partners will be an asset as the industry begins to develop even more ribose-fortified products,” commented Bioenergy Life Science President Tom VonderBrink.

Bioenergy Ribose, a five-carbon monosaccharide, is a functional ingredient that is gaining the attention of food, beverage and supplement manufacturers. Unlike most sugars which fuel energy recycling, Bioenergy Ribose drives energy maintenance and recovery by making energy compounds and keeping them in muscle cells. It has a negative glycemic index and does not raise blood sugar levels.

An all-natural substance, Bioenergy Ribose presents a broad spectrum of opportunities. It has a slightly sweet taste, and is highly soluble in hot or cold solutions, allowing for easy incorporation into the formulations of a variety of nutritional products.
