Dillingham named global director of AlaskOmega

Organic Technologies announced the appointment of Steve Dillingham as global director of AlaskOmega® Ingredients. In his new capacity, Mr. Dillingham will be responsible for global product strategy, marketing and sales of the AlaskOmega line of bulk omega-3 nutritional ingredients worldwide.

The key new hire comes at a time when the AlaskOmega brand is becoming more well known outside of its North American home base. Organic Technologies sees great international growth potential for its unique AlaskOmega ingredient line as customers around the world look to differentiate with higher purity EPA/DHA concentrations and sustainably-sourced omega-3 ingredients. AlaskOmega omega-3 ingredients use wild-caught Alaska pollock oil from a Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certified sustainable raw material source from Alaska’s Bering Sea. The raw oils are then further refined and concentrated into the AlaskOmega bulk ingredient at the Organic Technologies’ NSF-certified GMP facility located in Ohio.

"Steve is a seasoned natural products and ingredients executive who really knows the marine ingredient market well, and we are delighted to have him join our team,” remarked Dan Wiley, vice president of nutrition and health for Organic Technologies.

“Steve’s strategic marketing, business development, and leadership skills will be a big asset to us in meeting our aggressive international growth plans for the AlaskOmega business going forward,” concluded Wiley.

Prior to joining Organic Technologies, Mr. Dillingham worked at GC Rieber Oils Inc. as regional director, North America, and was principal of Strategro International LLC, a global business growth and marketing strategy firm. Over the course of his career, Steve has developed a successful track record and global network spanning a broad array of business sectors, including the often intersecting fields of marine biotechnology, functional ingredients, food and beverage, and nutraceuticals.
