The United Natural Products Alliance (UNPA) is pleased to welcome Frank Lampe as its vice president of communications and industry relations, effective June 3.
In this newly created position, Lampe is responsible for communications, media and marketing for the highly regarded, 21-year-old trade association. Additionally, he will assist UNPA President Loren Israelsen with industry relations and outreach as the organization embarks upon an expansion of its core mission through strategic partnerships and educational initiatives and as well as an expansion of its membership base to reflect a changing, evolving natural products industry.
“We are very excited to have Frank and his 25 years of high-level industry and media experience on the UNPA team,” said Israelsen. “His leadership, breadth of relationships, business acumen and communications skills in the natural health products industry will be a major asset to our organization as we embark on a number of important initiatives to move UNPA and the industry forward. Above all, I hold Frank in the highest regard. His personal integrity is the greatest asset he brings to UNPA.”
Lampe is a healthy living media veteran with deep experience with start-ups, content development, and line/brand extensions in trade, professional and consumer print, online, research and event properties. His professional resume includes business development, community and media outreach, and marketing skills.
He also is one of the pioneers in the sustainability arena, having cofounded Natural Business Communications, which quantified and popularized the $290 billion Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability marketplace. Additionally, Lampe has held management positions at New Hope Natural Media and InnoVision Health Media, along with years of industry and media consulting.
He most recently served as the director of communications for the American Herbal Products Association.
“I am thrilled to be joining the UNPA team to help it realize its expanded mission and membership objectives to recruit ‘best in class’ companies that recognize the opportunities that UNPA brings to the table to serve the natural health products industry,” said Lampe.
