EAS offers free regulatory advice at Vitafoods Europe

International regulatory and policy experts EAS Strategic Advice will once again be offering food companies free one-on-one tailored regulatory advice sessions at Vitafoods Europe next month in Geneva, Switzerland.

The event, which takes place May 14 to 16, will see experts from EAS on hand to give guidance on the regulatory compliance of individual product formulas, labelling and claims in Europe.

Each one-on-one session will last 20 minutes and can be booked in advance on the Vitafoods Europe website.

“2013 is a significant year for changes in nutritional products legislation and it is not surprising that companies find it challenging to navigate both the EU-wide and national legislation and approaches, when marketing products in the region,” said EAS Scientific and Regulatory Affairs Manager Efi Leontopoulou. “There are developments on health claims legislation, and its impact on the food industry has to be carefully assessed. There have also been changes regarding national approaches towards the use of other bioactive ingredients, and the future for botanical ingredients is being addressed. Our advice sessions help companies understand which compliance rules they must satisfy in order to launch and keep products on the EU market.”

Vitafoods Europe is the annual meeting place for the nutraceuticals, food supplements, functional foods and the functional drinks industries. The exhibition will feature some of the world's leading suppliers of nutraceutical ingredients and raw materials.
