NBJ: Supplements have endured a lot of bad press lately. Does the industry need a new message?

Harkin: I think the industry needs to broaden out its message more, into prevention and health, and health and wellness. I think too often a certain supplement or vitamin will focus on a certain body function, or support system. I think it needs to be more part of a general overall health.
