Because of its impressive nutrient profile, sustainable production methods and versatility, hemp is just one ingredient we expect to see more of in finished products in coming years.

Aronia berry also has our attention. This promising Midwestern berry has ample antioxidants (more than açaí) and is popping up in food products and supplements. Almond, another domestic, is on our radar as well, moving beyond a flavor additive to a functional ingredient in gluten-free and paleo products.

As millennials make more household purchasing decisions, their aversion to pill-form supplements should spark the launch of more nutrient-fortified everyday foods.
