Ajinomoto Co., Inc. will be increasing its low-calorie ADIET nutritional food product line-up by launching five new warm dessert meals for the coming winter season. In creating this product, the company has made good use of nearly a century of experience in amino acid research as well as study into mothers’ milk, which is sometimes called the “perfect nutritional food”. This nutritional food has been created as a low-calorie product by keeping its fat and sugar content down, while including a good balance of the nutrients required of a meal. The product also uses a blend of nine crystalline essential amino acids that cannot be made by the body. Three of the branched chain amino acids (BCAAs) are nutrients that work directly on muscles to help the body build tissue, which is easily lost but hard to gain. The product is priced at JPY 13,300 via mail order.
