Life Extension debuts CalReduce Selective Fat Binder

Chewable mint tablets safely bind to excess fats in the body and may help maintain a healthy weight.

Life Extension has announced it has introduced CalReduce Selective Fat Binder chewable mint tablets that safely binds to excess fats in the body and may help maintain a healthy weight.

Alpha-cyclodextrin, a patented super-fiber is the primary ingredient in this formula that helps absorb fat molecules from food before it enters the bloodstream.

Research shows that alpha-cyclodextrin selectively binds to unhealthy saturated and trans fats without affecting healthy fats such as polyunsaturated fatty acids. In one scientific study, alpha-cyclodextrin was shown to cause an approximately 13 percent increase in beneficial omega-3 DHA blood levels. The soluble fiber in CalReduce absorbs nine times its weight in dietary fat, without undesirable gastrointestinal side effects.

Chewing the recommended two tablets after each fat-containing meal binds up to 36 grams of pure dietary fat, assuming two fat-containing meals are eaten daily. This is sufficient to decrease up to 320 calories from the fat in food intake.

“If all your daily meals are high in fat, chewing two tablets of CalReduce Selective Fat Binder with each of three meals may reduce caloric intake up to 500 calories a day,” says Michael A. Smith, MD, Life Extension senior health scientist.

This supplement should be taken in conjunction with a healthy diet and regular exercise program. Results may vary.

Suggested retail price for a bottle of 120 CalReduce Selective Fat Binder chewable mint tablets is $45.
