Reliance offers clean sports line for private label

Line of 13 products and 20 SKUs lets retailers meet demand for clean, adulterant-free nutritional support for athletes with their own store brands.

Reliance Private Label Supplements now offers a line of Clean Sports Nutrition products. The line of 13 different products and 20 SKUs gives retailers the opportunity to benefit from the strong demand for clean, adulterant-free nutritional support for athletes with their own store brand.

The Reliance Clean Fitäline is manufactured in Reliance’s new state of the art facility, which is GMP certified through NSF & NPA. The manufacturing facility has also received the NSF Certified for Sport certificate which allows Reliance to produce sports nutrition products that are officially screened through NSF's Certified for Sport Program. This program helps athletes, coaches and trainers make informed choices about sports supplements. The Certified for Sport program is recognized by NFL, NFLPA, MLB, MLBPA, PGA, LPGA, and CCES, and includes product testing for +165 banned substances, label content confirmation, formulation and label review, production facility and supplier inspections.

“Independent retailers are missing out on store brand sales in the sports nutrition category, which is mainstreaming and growing very quickly,” said Kenny Flores, Reliance vice president of sales. “It’s not just body builders buying sports-specific supplements. There is a lot of crossover now, with 95 percent of the sports nutrition products in the mainstream. Consumers want sports supplements that are ‘Clean and Safe,’ not the ones that make headlines when an athlete fails a drug test.”

This private label line is packaged with a sports nutrition look and feel, in a black bottle with a black cap. “With our high quality printing capabilities, this line looks like the national branded sports nutrition lines. Our retail partners will have a competitive advantage because their brand will be clean and safe, free of artificial colors, flavors, and hormones,” Flores said.
