Join professional colleagues from all over the world at Whistler Mountain Convention Center, British Columbia, Sept. 21-22, 2012, for the Mechanism-Based Natural Product Development Conference. This event features two days of in-depth and thought-provoking discussion on the discovery and development of therapeutic natural medicines and the new opportunities they present.

Keynote, plenary and other sessions include:

  • Seven sessions over two days, including the American Botanical Council's own Mark Blumenthal on efficacy and safety, Pierre Haddad on antidiabetic herbs, and talks on opportunities from traditional knowledge, new antimalarial mechanisms, molecular transporters, pharmacokinetics and drug distribution
  • Discussions on new natural products targets, including calcium sensors, ion transporters and pumps
  • Panel discussion on intellectual property management, commercialization and regulation of new therapeutics

This broad range of sessions promises to get you thinking about the future of natural medicines. Abstracts are being accepted now through May 31, 2012. Early-bird registration ends June 29.
