ADM Announces Construction of New Margarine Facility

Archer Daniels Midland Company announced today that it will construct a new margarine and interesterification plant in Quincy, Illinois to produce margarine products for institutional and food service customers.

The 106,000 square foot facility will be located adjacent to the existing ADM refinery and packaging plant. Construction is scheduled to be completed by the summer of 2004. This facility will continue ADM’s vertical integration into value-added products to better serve its ever-growing global packaged and specialty oil customers.
