Albion scores IADSA Company Council seat

International alliance of more than 50 national trade associations and 20,000 companies invites Albion to join its advisory board.

Albion Human Nutrition is proud to announce that James Hyde, Albion’s CEO, and Nathan Nelson, Albion’s General Counsel, will represent Albion at the International Alliance of Dietary/Food Supplement Associations (IADSA) annual meeting in Paris, France, April 24, 2012.

Albion was accepted as a member of the IADSA Company Council in January of 2012, after an invitation from their board. IADSA is managed on a day to day basis by a Board comprising the Chairman, Vice-Chairman and Treasurer, who are elected by the members for a two year term. Two advisory groups advise the Board, representing associations and companies: the Executive Council and the Company Council respectively, which are comprised of a small group of select companies. Since its creation in 1998, IADSA has more than doubled in size, now representing over 50 national trade associations and over 20,000 companies.

“IADSA is the global voice of the dietary supplement manufacturing industry with respect to regulatory and legislative matters, and it’s an honour to be accepted as a Company Council Member and participate at their annual meeting,” said James Hyde, Albion CEO.

IADSA strives through its members to ensure consumer safety through legislation, regulation, and guidelines founded upon credible scientific principles. IADSA is an accredited international non-governmental organization with a seat at the table of the main international regulatory bodies and Codex Alimentarius.
