Alix Technologies Expands Liquid Manufacturing Capability

Alix Technologies, Inc., a division of Pharmachem Laboratories, Inc., has purchased a liquid and cosmetics processing facility in Salt Lake City, UT.

“The purchase of the 100,000-square-foot cGMP facility will provide additional capacity for our liquids business and enable us to enter new markets,” said Peter Hafermann, president of Alix.

In February of last year, Pharmachem established Alix Technologies via the purchase of a 130,000-square-foot liquid bottling facility near Dallas, TX with capabilities for processing and packaging beverage and personal care products. The new Salt Lake City facility adds increased capacity in high-volume liquids ranging in viscosity, hot and cold fill, and plastic or glass packaging configurations.

The new facility operates under HACCP, is ISO 9001:2000 certified, OTC certified, cGMP compliant and is supported by extensive in-house analytical capabilities in its cGLP laboratory.

“With the addition of the Salt Lake City facility we now have the capability of processing a full complement of liquids including: fortified beverages, super juices, cosmetics, personal care and household products,” added Hafermann.

Headquartered in Kearny, NJ, Pharmachem Laboratories Inc. is a global leader in application-specific processing of healthy ingredients including custom extraction, fractionation, fermentation, drying, liquid-to-powder conversion, granulation, agglomeration, blending, nutrient fortification, liquids formulation and packaging.
