Aloecorp Celebrates 15th Anniversary in Producing Quality Aloe vera Raw Material Ingredients

Broomfield, CO – March 18, 2003 – Aloecorp, the world’s leading vertically integrated supplier of Aloe vera raw materials, has announced the celebration of its fifteenth anniversary on April 5, 2003. That date is also a company holiday which marks the formation of parent company Nam Yang Aloe Company, Ltd. in Korea, now 27 years old, along with health and wellness companies Unigen Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Oasis Wellness Network in Broomfield.

“When I started Aloecorp fifteen years ago it was with the recognition of the wonderful health benefits of aloe and a dream that high quality Aloe vera products would be available to a variety of industries for use in finished products,” said B. (Bill) William Lee, Chairman of the Board of Aloecorp and the global Nam Yang family of health and wellness companies. “It is personally rewarding that Aloecorp has successfully carried on my late father’s legacy of “bringing the best of nature to mankind.”

Many scientific developments have taken place since Bill Lee’s father, the late Yun Ho Lee and founder of Nam Yang, set visionary goals for the effects Aloe vera would have on the health of the world. Recent groundbreaking clinical data carried out and funded by the International Aloe Science Council (IASC) by Dr. J. Vinson at the University of Scranton, PA, has suggested that both water and fat-soluble vitamin bioavailability were increased by more than twofold when taken in conjunction with aloe. This data alone has a wide range of implications for the development of new and innovative products.

Other fairly recent scientific research carried out by a number of respected scientists in their field have repeatedly confirmed various health benefits of Aloe vera, including its powerful effects on immunomodulation, antioxidation, carcinogen metabolism, detoxification, and gastrointestinal health, just to name a few.

Aloecorp, which controls the production of its Aloe vera raw materials from start to finish—growing, harvesting and possessing its own aloe in-house—prides itself on using a proprietary and patented manufacturing process to produce the most biologically active “Active Aloe®” ingredients. Active Aloe® is standardized to contain ten percent total polysaccharides by weight and is processed by a controlled, bioactivity-guided polysaccharide modification for enrichment of the 50,000 to 100,000 dalton molecular weight range.

“All of these scientific breakthroughs in the world of aloe verify what we have believed to be true for many years now,” said Aloecorp’s president, Mick Anderson. “Aloecorp remains committed to producing the finest and purest Aloe vera raw material ingredients for use in so many different health and personal care products.”
